Athena Militaria was created to bring together collectors, history enthusiasts, museums and treasure hunters around a modern, safe and transparent platform. We want to make it easier to pass on rare pieces (helmets, decorations, uniforms, documents, equipment), while guaranteeing traceability, authenticity and compliance with the legal framework.
We believe that every object tells a story. By connecting serious buyers and sellers, we help preserve historical memory and make collecting accessible to everyone.

Explore items sorted by period (WWI, WWII, 20th century, etc.) and by sub-category. You can also post your own listings in just a few clicks.

Chat with the seller
Our built-in messaging lets you ask questions, request additional photos and negotiate directly with the seller.

Pay securely
Payment is handled by Stripe, PCI-DSS certified. Your banking details never pass through our server.

Receive your item
The seller ships the item within 5 days. You receive tracking and can leave a review once the transaction is complete.

14 days to change your mind
As required by French law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you receive your parcel.

Your password is hashed and your personal information is stored on GDPR-compliant servers (Supabase, EU).
Active moderation
Our team removes any listing that does not comply with the legal framework (non-deactivated weapons, prohibited items, counterfeits).
Verified reviews
Only buyers who have actually made a purchase can leave a review on a seller or an item.

Sell an item
Listing an item for sale on Athena Militaria is simple and fast:
- Photograph your item from several angles (ideally 4 to 8 sharp photos).
- Click “Sell” in the top right.
- Fill in the title, description, period, sub-category, condition, price and location.
- Publish, and your listing goes live immediately.
- Reply to messages and ship the item once the transaction is confirmed.

Athena Militaria is also a place to connect. Discuss the latest finds, share your research, ask for advice on authentication or showcase your pieces to other enthusiasts.
Frequently asked questions
Is registration free?
Yes, creating an account and posting listings are completely free. A commission may be charged at the time of sale to cover payment and moderation costs.
Can I sell weapons?
Only category D weapons freely available for sale (historical weapons predating 1900, inert reproductions, weapons deactivated under EU Regulation 2015/2403). Functional weapons in categories A, B and C are strictly prohibited.
How is an item authenticated?
Each seller is responsible for the accuracy of their description. If you have doubts about authenticity, you can ask the community or request an additional expert assessment from the seller before buying.
What happens if I don't receive my parcel?
Contact the seller via messaging. If no agreement is reached within 7 days, write to contact@athenamilitaria.fr. The payment remains held until you confirm receipt.
Can I return an item?
Yes, you have 14 days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal. Return shipping costs are at your expense. Sealed or personalised items may be an exception; see the Terms of Sale.
